Successful Launch of ALOS / H-IIA

The above images are ASTER data which captured Tanegashima Space Center of Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).

H-IIA Launch Vehicle carrying ALOS was launched at 10:33 am on January 24, 2006 (JST). It was confirmed that ALOS was successfully separated approx. 16 min. after the lift-off . The successful development of solar cell paddles was also confirmed.
