ASTER VNIR Level 1B

Doba Oil Field is located in the southern part of the Republic of Chad in Central Africa. The Doba Oil Field was developed and is operated by the world's largest petroleum company, Exxon Mobile Corporation. Up until now, 265 oil wells were drilled in the oil field. It is planned to export 900 million barrels of oil over the next 25 years.

In October of last year, the development of oil pipeline that runs from the Doba Oil Field to Cameroon's Atlantic port of Kribi, a total length of over 1,000 km, has been completed. The production of oil has begun with the completion of this pipeline.

From this oil field business, the national income of Chad, which has been one of the lowest in the world, is expected to increase substantially.
