 Osaka is located in the east of Seto Inland Sea area of Japan. She prospered as key junctions of transportation and commerce after General Hideyoshi constructed Osaka Castle there in 16th century. Today she still remains to be a center city economically and is the second largest city next to Tokyo in Japan.

  Osaka is also called "The City on water" because of the streams of many canals in the city. On reclaimed coastal area, there are many factories of heavy chemical industry.
